a lenten reminder
It’s been a while since you last went for a good run, so it is not surprising that you forgot how running makes you absolutely ravenous the following day. This side-effect isn’t normally an issue, but considering that the run took place on a Thursday evening during Lent and the following day happens to be a fast day… well… that is a problem. Fast days are difficult enough without you adding an increased need for sustenance. Kindly think about that next Thursday if and when an enthusiasm for running comes over you. Remain strong even if the weather is temptingly perfect for a run. Otherwise there will be more wailing and gnashing of teeth…
