adventures of c&k: cars and cousins

April 18, 2012

Karl and I met up with his cousin, Peter on Friday night.  Together, we wandered the displays of the New York International Auto Show, where we admired, opined, praised, critiqued, and discussed the latest models of vehicular craftsmanship.  Some were impressive; others not so much.  Karl and Peter compared current models to past ones, as well as class standards.  I could only weigh in on the current models, having little to no recollection of previous years, and I have very limited knowledge of class standards, so I listened a lot.  But I only paid attention to conversations regarding the bodies and interiors.  I zoned out whenever the cousins started talking about gadgets and gizmos under the hood; engines and technical stuff are not my thing.  Thankfully, Karl and Peter didn’t seem to mind.  In all honesty, I don’t think they even noticed!

We covered a lot of ground, saw a ridiculous amount of cars, and worked up serious appetites in the process.  So we retired to a nearby restaurant for an amazing steak dinner.  Now that is my idea of a fabulous evening: cars, cousins, steak and potatoes, and washed down with wine and laughter!

There were too many people elbowing their way to the driver’s seat, so I passed. We had a great time!! Hope you did too! :)
